10-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

"This quick and easy dessert is a family favorite."

Ingredients :

  • 5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions :

Prep : 5M Cook : 1M Ready in : 7M
  • Mix sugar, flour, milk, olive oil, cocoa powder, egg, vanilla extract, and salt together in a large microwave-safe mug.
  • Heat in microwave until center of cake is done, about 2 minutes.

Notes :

  • Because this recipe makes such a big mug cake, split the batter in two for a smaller cake. Microwave for 1 minute to 1 minute 50 seconds or until a tooth pick comes out clean. If the edges of the cake begin to bubble take out of microwave immediately.
  • Substitute 4 teaspoons stevia extract for the sugar, if desired.
  • Substitute vegetable oil for the olive oil, if desired.
